Charles G. Mersereau obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University in 1963 and practiced in the engineering profession for six years. He earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toledo in 1970. Shortly after graduation he was employed by Honeywell Inc. where, during a nineteen year tenure, he handled not only matters related to chemical patent practice but also those involving a wide range of other technologies arising out the company’s R & D and manufacturing activities, with some emphasis in the medical device area. He was admitted to the Bar in the State of Ohio in 1970, the State of Minnesota in 1971, and the Federal Bar in 1978. He has also been registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office since 1971. He is a member of the Hennepin County and Minnesota State Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, the Minnesota Intellectual Property Law Association, and the AIPLA.
